Class Description

Ag Science I/II
This course is designed to introduce first-year students to the agriculture industry and covers a basic view of AG related topics such as: Animal Science, Plant Science, leadership skills, and the National FFA Organization.

Ag Science III/IV

This is a second-year course which explores the topics covered in Ag Science I/II further. This course covers these topics more in depth and will better prepare the students to continue agriculture course work.

Floral Design

This course offers leadership skills and will prepare students for entry level positions in the floral industry.

Veterinary Science

This is an advanced animal science course. Students enrolling in this course should have a strong science background. Completion of Ag Science I/II and/or Ag Science III/IV is recommended. The course covers animal health related topics. This course offers leadership skills and will prepare students for entry level positions in the vet science and/or equine industries.

Ag Leadership
This course is a 6.5 period class offered after school two days per week and carries 2.5 elective units. Topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: team building, time management, event planning, and public speaking. This course is an excellent choice for any student interested in holding a student office.

Fair Projects
This course is 6.5 period class offered after school two days per week and carries 2.5 elective units. Students enrolled in this course will gain skills pertaining to raising livestock for the San Diego County Fair. Topics include, but are not limited to: nutrition, livestock evaluation and selection, marketing, and financial planning.
